Which 2 Sends for Live Performance??

Post by DJ Release » Fri Oct 21, 2005 8:50 am

So I've got my first 'Live' gig tom. night performing/mixing 6 tracks i've written (can't wait:)) - i've only just finished writing the tracks yesterday and am now looking at the performance.

I've got the controllers (BCF2000 & Evolution UC16) and have been asigning knobs and warping a few of the tracks etc. not yet had time to check out what the best send might be for cool FX.

Can anyone recommend any FX for my sends (live or otherwise) that work well in this situation? (i'm thinking special end of section FX)

Any advice appreciated :D

PS Anyone answering this may also be able to tell me what warp setting they play tracks back on. I'm so far finding i have to split the tracks up and use a mixture of Beats, Complex or Tones (for breakdowns), althought just before i went to bed last night re-pitch seamed to sound good?!?

Thanks a lot

filter, beat repeat, simple delay is wat I use the most...

I recommend the "magic sends" tip (tips 'n tricks) btw...yhen you can use your sends to completely filter away a sended channel for exmaple!

Yo dude,

My personal fave send is the filter delay set to the preset "go mid", give it some in the last bar before a change for proper tasty & mad delay fx.

I'd also drop OhmBoyz OhmyGod filter as an insert and set one of your controller knobs to filter cutoff.

Good luck tomorrow dude,

let us know how you get on and post some pix if you can.

Cheers

Neil
