I have updated my setup to OSX 10.2.6 and Live 2.0.3. I deleted my preferences.cfg file because I was experiencing strange processor spikes.
Everything seemed well until I removed my TiBook from my studio and changed my audio device from the MOTU 828 to the Built IN sound. Now, when I have reconnected it to my setup it refuses to offer the inputs as it previously did. I have no way of recording sound into live which is something I depend on, with the exception of a bizarre phenomenon: in previous sessions where input recording functioned, I am able to monitor and record input 1 on randomly selected tracks, despite not being able to select any inputs.
I have selected the 828 as the input and output deviced and toggled 'monitor through live' on.
I am completely baffled.
My midi setup now also failes to recognize my midi express xt nor my akai mpd16. I'm not sure whether this is due to the Live update or the update to OSX but it occured at the same time.
