external harddrive quest

Hi people i''m pretty new with live. I bought an external hard drive and put all my loops one shots and etc. on it. I accidently unplugged it while it was connected to my computer. Now my computer won't recognize my external hd anymore when its plugged in. Is there any help out there. At least can i get the music out of the ext. hd? and save it to my computer?

Post all your stats first...computer type, operating system, HD type, etc.

Also, what kind of connection? I hope it wasnt firewire, cause i might have a really quick answer for you.

Have you tried plugging in another device of somekind to the same port? does that work?

compaq presario 2600 amd. external harddrive no clue............... plugged my oxygen 8 into the port and it worked.

sounds scary. maybe you wanna try to plug this external hard to any other computer ? to check out if its fine...
