Crossgrade for UK?

Post by xylyx » Sun Oct 23, 2005 9:17 am

Hi...

Contemplating getting Live 5 and noticed that M-Audio's US site has a crossgrade offer for users of competing sequencers (some of the US stores seem to have the offer too). However, the UK M-Audio site makes no mention of any such offer, nor do any of the UK shops appear to be offering this...is this another case of UK users missing out on a good deal?

without meaning to sound cynical, the UK never was good at customer service or incentive scemes - the amount of offers by intenational chains that for some reason the UK public dont get has always surprised me.

Right down to Burger king everywhere else in the world having the drinks machines on the customer side of the tills for unlimited refills - I remember once seeing a limited offer for "refill for only 50p" or something stupid as if it was this great deal. It's almost like people in their corporate boardrooms are actually thinking along the lines of "the British public dont expect a good deal, why should we disappoint them by giving them one"

Rip off Britain is alive and well.

sorry, dont quite know where that rant came from.

Well, I was going to launch into a similar tirade myself, but didn't want my first post here to be like that :)

It would make sense for them offering something like that here...it is a difference of around £100 on the current cheapest price available in the shops and will have a sizeable influence on whether or not I decide to make a move to Live...and I'm probably not the only one either.
