playhead LIVE 5

Post by FUDOG » Sun Oct 23, 2005 8:03 pm

play head of playing sample randomly shifts from one point in a sample to further along in the sample.

---

my work around is to turn off link loop or sumat - havnt quite got in depth with that so not sure what it is. Although I know I havent been setting up weird loop points so this shouldnt be happening. Seems like a bug with this new feature.

OS X tiger - G4 titanium 1gig hz 1 gig ram.

---

I should add that the problem sample was also once taken away, reworked, ie had compression and eq done to it, and cropped to a new size, given a new name, re-imported into LIVE, redid thet markers and loop points in this new version of the sample - it still did the same random play back, moving from one point in the sample to another further along.... weird :?

that is really weird actually... you think you could make a screen shot of your project?
is this happening in scene view or arrangement?
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

OK i'll see if I can do some shots later.

its in scene mode and only happened with this one sample so far...

also I just rememberd another bug, not related to this but happened with the same sample. This sample and another one, when opening the project for the first time after working on it a few days ago, sometimes there would horrible digital noise added to the sample, little burst of noise towards the beggining of the sample. i find to get arround it, instead of double clicking the the saved set. i would open Live first, then open most recent set. So opening the template first then the set i want to work on... this seems to get around it.
