2.1beta missing sample data

Post by claudek » Mon Jul 14, 2003 10:56 am

I am trying to load a saved 2.03 song with allot of audio clips into 2.1b and many audio files do not load. When i view the clip the area says missing audio file .I then opened it in 2.3 and all loaded and fine...Maybe it was coincidence or what but weird..maybe a bug?

Hi claudek,

was it just once that the song was not loaded right in 2.1b1 or does it happen always?

regards,
Alex

juat tested it again..It was a Live Performance I did with about 9 scenes..maybe 45 clips..Always opens with missing data..When I open in 2.03 (which it was made) works fine..

Hi claudek,

so it happens always with this Live set.

Some further questions:

1) If you save the Live set in Live 2.0.3 under a different name and then as selfcontained, can you then open this selfontained set right in Live 2.1b1?

2) Are the samples which not loaded always the same?

3) What happens if you copy the Live set, open it in Live 2.0.3 and remove all samples until some of the "not loadeable" in Live 2.1b1. Then save this new song and try to open in Live 2.1b1?

Well I did the suggestion of re-saving under another name and a new self contained sample folder (it was self contained in the first document.).This method solved the problem and all loaded ok..
Weird?

Hi claudek,

sounds absolutely strange.
I would like to get it somehow reproduceable so that I could take a look.
By the way, on which operating system are you?

I'm on mac OSX 10.2.6 ..
I would send you the files...but quite a LARGE folder of sounds..
I will see if I can recreate it with a smaller set of sounds..
I had sometimes this problem before..It may just be my harddrive or something..But 2.03 has acted pretty well..
