Firewire External Soundcards --- Any recommendations?

Hey, I'm just starting to use Live (been playing with the Demo for ages, now I wanna break out and use the damn thing) and I was looking at getting an external firewire soundcard. I initially looked at the Firewire 410 but I've read of problems with it, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good ones around the same price range.

Same kind of features would be useful, as I'm probably gonna use it for DJ use, so I need a good range of ins/outs.

There are probably posts to this effect elsewhere on the forum, but 3 pages of search results have yielded bog-all in useful info.

Are you a mac or PC user? From what I have heard the M-Audio Firewire cards work great with Macs but I know from my own experience that they are really shaky with PC Laptops.

if you're in the U.S., i'm selling a Firewire Audiophile for $90

i used it to DJ with Ableton for several months. always solid, just couldn't get the latency below 374 samples. that's plenty low for DJing but i was also doing some live drumming running through Ableton FX so i prefer 128 samples.

excellent condition too.
