Horror, live dont start

Hi,
i´m a registrated User. I have live 5 on my laptop an on my musicworkstation.

Today i cant open live on both computer.

anybody the same probs?

The laptop has an netacces, the musicworkstation not.!!!!

the problem may be a buggy vst plugin... Try moving your vst folder somewhere else and then open live. If a plugin is the problem, start moving the files back one by one ( or as I do it, 10x10) until you find the culprit.

Yes, this could well be some VST, cracked or uncracked, that causes this, but instead of re-adding the plugs one by one, you can rescan the folder when Live5.02 was succsessfully opened without scanning it, usually the trouble wil be gone, next time Live5.02 will start up as usually. Worked for me with the Waves-Shells 5.0 and 5.2.

Hi, I had a problem like this too today, what I did was , i went to my local drive ( C:\Documents and Settings\..my_name..\Application Data\Ableton\Live 5.0.2\Preferences\ ) and renamed the "preferences.cfg" to someting like "prefold.cfg" and then loaded the program and it loaded without problems, ofcourse i had to re-enable the plugins options etc...but this time it went whitout problems..strange he?

funny, i had same problems yesterday. live doesnt start (with an error), i put the waves vst-shell out of my plugin folder, then started again. live rescaned without problems, then i put the waveshell back... now everything works again without problems.
strange, but it doesnt bother me.

The same thing...waveshell....happened to me last night too.
Removed...rescanned.......solved......weird.
