01X remote lost in Live5

For a few days playin was ok,accept for the crashes now and then
Suddenly durrin recording remote stops,can't find a way to re-fix.
Any suggestions?Would be nice to be able to use it again

Got Live 4 in April, was such a good software that I bought the upgrade to version 5 with my eyes closed... I was in love

Live 5 integration with the 01x was good until... the audio kept playing and Live 5.0.1 froze to death.
- Remote on 01x stopped responding
- any mouse or keyboard input stopped responding
--> had to kill Live and reboot the computer each time!!!

Upgraded to Live 5.0.2 hoping that the system crashes would be ironed out... it became WORST!!!
After a few minutes Live crashes with sometimes the audio still playing.
- Remote on 01x is not responding
- keyboard and mouse are not responding either (for Live)
--> have to reboot as Live will not respond to process termination commands

At this point I CANNOT use Live anymore., and it's a HUGE problem as I have sessions lined up!

My system is clean and optimized (am an IT professional so I know a little about computers) and Live is the only program that crashes on this machine.

For the Ableton guys here are two examples from the application system log:
- "Hanging application Live 5.0.1.exe, version 1.0.0.1, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000."

-"Hanging application Live 5.0.2.exe, version 1.0.0.1, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000."

I will appreciate your input and advices Abes guys as I want to use this very promising and uber-cool software.

I had a simliar issue a few nights ago ... it turned out that somehow I had accidentally reset my M-Lan Autoconnector settings such that PC -> 01X (i.e. audio outputs) had no audio channels active. In this state the 01X's Remote functionality stops working.

Easy fix - I reestablished the correct settings for my scenario (4 Channel - 1 master stereo bus + 1 stereo monitor bus) and Remote functionality returned when I next restarted Live.

I'm still not sure how I accidentally nuked my M-Lan preferences and strangely, even though Remote functionality wasn't working in Live (or Nuendo3 for that matter) the M-Lan MIDI ports were still available for selection in Live/Nuendo.

Glad I know the fix ...
Once you've used the 01X with Live in all its Mackie Control Universal glory you cannot go back to not having it ; )

Are you using the latest version of the M-Lan Tools (driver pack)?

01X + M-Lan functionality was very shakey until they released version 1.5.4. In fact it wasn't until I did a complete trash and reinstall of WinXP SP1 on this system and started purely from the latest drivers only (1.5.4) that the whole system started working as it reads on the tin so to speak.

If your audio interface is shakey, Live will also be shakey.
