EXPORT SX-Live rewire BUG

Post by Chris J » Thu Nov 03, 2005 4:30 pm

It had been reported during beta phase, that you couldn't export a song in SX with live in rewire (live tracks being on& off).
Alex said to use real time export in SX :
It's not working any better

After repeating the export I managed to get a proper render in that the live output didn't go on and off , but now I've got clicks, which I never experienced before :(

I exported again and it's on & off again. Exporting in real time is a bummer when you have to do it many times to get a proper mix

Hi,

I had a similar problem with exporting with SX and live through rewire. QUite impossible to do it!!
Finally I managed to do it with the real time export in cubase, and the first 2 times there where alot of clicks in the render so it was unuseble. The third time there was only 3-4 minor clicks wchich I removed in sound forge interpolating them, and only one really shit and big .... but i passed it as the whole thing was a one hour live set promo...
by the way, do you think there is some difference in the sound between exporting normally and exporting real time? I think there is //

For the clipping it turns out my SX output fader was just above zero by accident therefore clipping.
Tried again and got a correct mix with no drop outs from live. Mind you there were only 5 tracks on live.

As for the sound quality difference between realtime or not, I haven't noticed, never compared actually.
What do you think sounds better ?
