Nice one, tres beau....

Me think two things make the fear vanish: poetry as paws posted and looking inside. Fearing death is fearing looking inside one's self, listening to the dreams, to the hidden selves in the subconscious... Buddhists are said to prepare for death during life through their dreams.
Waiting for death is like waiting for nothing, fearing death is like not wanting to live your life.

*I know, easy to speak*
well the tibetan buddhists do the elaborate sand mandalas tht take a week to make then brush them away

meant to be a point about the impermenance of things

Ceux qui peuvent frapper à ta porte
Infinité de destin
On en pose un, qu'est-ce qu'on en retient?

Le vent l'emportera

Pendant que la marée monte
Et que chacun refait ses comptes
J'emmène au creux de mon ombre
Des poussières de toi

Le vent les portera
Tout disparaîtra
Le vent nous portera
I get the feeling Babel fish robs it somewhat iof it's appeal?:

Does this perfume of our dead years Those which can strike with your Infinité door of destiny One poses one of them, what one retain some? The wind will carry it While the tide goes up And that each one remakes its accounts I take along to the hollow of my shade Of dust of you The wind will carry them All will disappear the wind will carry us

No. The only thing to fear is a dry vagina. Maybe a moist anus.

It's that simple. Survival. Natural selection.

Live each day like it's your last with no regrets.

It just may be.

Hehe.. gotta love Babelfish.

I think this is about right, not a native speaker, mind:

"This scent of our dead years
Those that can knock on your door
Infinity of destiny
We ask one thing of it, what can we take from it*

The wind will bring it
Everything will disappear
The wind will carry us

While the tide rises
And everyone reconsiders
I bring dust specks of you
To the cavity in my soul

The wind will carry them
Everything will disappear
The wind wind will carry us"

(*Not sure of this line at all! Or most the rest of it for that matter...au secours!)

I am weird I guess, but always find it interesting subject..
What do you think? Maybe one does not always fear this as well?
If people think of death like going into a deep peace sleep we would fear less.
Vote for Pedro.

If a did some good music instead or wrote some poetry I would probably not get into this thead right now...

Analysis:
Fear of death.
Three parts:

1 Fear of leaving life and beloved ones
2 Fear of the dying process, moment of death
3 Fear of the state of being dead

I don't care much for 3.
2 bothers me like becoming dead in life - loosing a clear mind (I never had one from the start...), starting to become strange or disturbed infront of children and friends
1 is the crucial part for me. I will not finish! Whole life so far has been an unfinishing thing. Things scattered around whithout form.

The fear for death is in my mind the ego's problem with time and itself.

and noone fear the time before existance!

Live each day like it is your last AND as if you will live for 1000 years.

^ ^

nice proverb i like

Look at the medical and pharmecitical industries. They capitalize on our fear of death. Death is just a part of life. No point trying to escape it;

hardly anyone really fears death, more people are afraid to live in my opinion.
