Dry/Wet for Auto Filter

Post by Bang Bang » Tue Nov 08, 2005 10:48 pm

Dear Abletons,

I'd really like to have a dry/wet parameter for the Auto Filter.
I often use it as a track insert and switching it on and off gives very unsophisticated effects.

keep it up!

Use it on a return with pre-fadedr send.

send is cool, but I too would love the autofilter to have a dry/wet--it could be very helpful in a variety of instances...

Add me to that one - Seems totally obvious and silly not to have it !

yeah I've often thought this too

I think most things need one, especially for live use so you can do it immediately in one place

You can do this with an audio effects rack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX3g_2aNBJo

frankly a wet/dry is not fully desirable because of phase shifting occurring naturally in filters. it's simply not possible to avoid frequency combing which would f*ck up phase relation with other tracks too.
probably a hybrid macro that resets frequency, resonance, env amount and lfo amount to linear/static values could be more interesting.
