midi record question

Hi folks,

quick question..

I've just tranferred my ableton onto a new computer and now when I set up my controller keyboard to play in midi information whilst recording, I cannot monitor what i'm playing, although it does record the midi information..

I'm sure there is a simple setting here, but i cant find it!

any info?

how are you monitoring your midi instruments?

straight out of my mixer.

My synth plays the midi notes i play on the keyboard, only when i hit record does the monitoring switch off?
