Live 2.0 and 2.1 together

Jerom, as long as 2.1 got installed in its own folder, both versions should be friendly with each other. For my part I'm glad I kept the 'old' Live since 2.1 is surprisingly buggy: it's inclined to stutters and freezes.

Hi HajoCorsten,

please give us more information about the "it's inclined to stutters and freezes".
So what do you have to do to get a different behaviour in Live 2.1.1 as in 2.0.3?

regards,
Alex

forgive me posting this here,

i have found that the program is crashing hard when i try to record clips while the clip viewing window is open. it seems to work OK if it is on the track view tab. seems as if something about rendering the waveform on screen during recording is causing it to lock up.

Hi longjohns,

this is probably not the best place. At least you should open a new thread for this problem.

Pleas tell me more about what you exactly you do. I can record here while the waveform view is open so i don't think that's not all.

- Does it happen always? Always in an empty song?
- Does it happen in Session view or arranger?
- From which input source you are recording (Master Out, Live In, Reason, ...)?
- When excatly is it crashing? As soon as you select the clip view from the recording clip? As sson as you start the recording?

Alex

Hi Alex,
I got that fixed: I had 2.1 installed 'as upgrade' into 2.0.1's folder.
After rolling-back (big hug to WinXP) and installing 2.1 in its own folder, everything works fine.

Though I cannot regenerate any more that extremely expanded max zoom-in ratio of the arrangement view that you seem to have implemented into 2.1 any more.

Hajo

By the way: is there anywhere a list in the forum that mentions all changes/imporvements - if any... - for win-users with Live 2.1 ?
