i think you're wrong.
it's a time delay on the reaction time of the unit (a new feature on the latest firmware), to prevent feedback. it means that if the unit receives the same data as sent in this time period, it won't be acknowledged.

it's explained in the pdf file coming with the firmware.

though, maybe with the editor behringer's supposed to release, we could be able to set the knobs speed.

Ok, sorry about turning on expectations and so on...

The funny thing about that one was that we seriously had the notion of increasing/decreasing the encoders sensitivity. I mean, we would probably be happy living in our ignorance... no offence P.

I thought I'd bump this topic to see if the release of patch 1.06 solved everyone's problems with rotary knob response.

In other words, using Live 4 and the BCR2000, can you:

-Have the BCR Rotary Knobs update the Live Faders
-Have the Live Faders update the BCR Rotary LED's
-Get acceptable, "musical" responsiveness from the BCR Rotary Knobs to update the automation while automation is running.

I am still stuck rewiring into Sonar to do mixdown with control surface support. Hopefully I can make my move??

Note: This is similar to a new post I did regarding the BCF2000, but I am curious about the BCR2000 as well. Thanks.

yup, the 1.06 fixed almost all problems!

knobs reacting quite fast...
the only thing that remains is that live only updates ONE preset at the time... don't know if the problem is @ behringer side or live's side, but I guess it's a behringer problem...

like if you change a knob in one preset, the same knob with the same CC doesn't get changed in the other preset. I have a IBK 10Control as well, and they've managed this problem somehow...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm a little confused on the "updates to multiple presets" issue, though. Can you give me a real world example of why you want this to happen?

Hey guys, I just got mine last night. (Mathias at Faderfox says next spring before his knob box is out)

Can you save me from RTFM? How do I swith the buttons from momemtary to toggle?

sry but RTFM is the way!!

but once you get it dialed you will be able to costomize the chit out of the thing...and be much more rounded as far as the extent of the unit! and useing to your own desires!

I know this is an older post, but I have a question about arming/recording 1 live track. Do you have to use your mouse to select the track you want to arm before hitting the button on the BCR2000, or is there a way to select tracks using MIDI remote control? Thanks.

This is how my BCR is setup:
Top encoders have 4 functions, as dictated by the encoder group buttons
- Send A
- Send B
- Send C
- Send D
Push button feature of the encoders are:
- start clip
- Solo clip (in preferences set SOLO to not be exclusive)
- with two left over

The buttons below those are Track On/Off and X-Fader A/B.

Then the bottom 24 encoders are grouped into 4 groups of 6 encoders
- Send A FX (3 band EQ)
- Send B FX (LFO Filter)
- Send C FX (Delay)
- Send D FX (wild card, usually the clean path)
-- Send D's encoders were later switched over to include BPM, Quantise, X-Fader, Scene Select, Scene Launch (Scene Launch on a rotary is wicked, especially with Quantise control, in preferences turn off the setting to go to the next scene after launch)

Then the 4 buttons at the lower right turn on/bypass the 4 effects.

So, I play through FX, usually leaving Send D as the clean path. Volume is controlled by the send amount, panning is done at the FX.

Last night I realised that I can get A LOT MORE out of it by using presets (rather than buying another one).
Preset 1 would be as above, basic controls
Preset 2 would go to include Pan, Master Volume, global type stuff
Preset 3 would include editing tools such as clip start/end, loop start/end etc.
Preset 4 would have hooks for other FX, plug ins, etc.

Then change presets to get to each feature, turn off your monitor and bang beats. For $5 I got a sheet of plastic to cut stencils out of to lay on top of the BCR.

The thing is, you don't need a preset for every song, use the presets to cover ALL the functions inside Ableton, create a blank song with all that set up and save that as your template. You can set encoders to be the same CC on the same channel, ie you can have duplicate encoders to have the same feature available on every preset.

Anyway, it's a work in progress but the BCR is the most smiles per dollar I've ever gotten from a piece of gear. I find programming it without a PC interface to be just as easy. When the BCR and Ableton act funky I delete and reprogram the CC, works every time, glad the update is available.

hi..i bought a bcr2000 to use it with live....well...i don't understand what's the best mode for live ..1-2-3-4....i think that live works on midi with bcr..i need the usb or not??can i use only midi with live?? at this moment i have connected midi & usb both but i don't know if it's necessary..please let me understand...thanks

and again...what parameters i have to set in preferences for the bcr works correctly...until now i have used the midi learn function to control live with bcr....but i have to save a preset also on the bcr unit?? many questions in my head
