syncing 2 mac IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Post by ernene » Fri Nov 11, 2005 4:51 pm

Live 5.0.2, 2 powerbooks g4 mac os x 10.4.2, no way to sync them via ethernet or airport with the Tiger midi config., I mean, they send and receive, but receive so much info tha the disks get overloaded with more than a 200% ... so we are not able to sync both laptops anymore (it worked fine a while ago, but I don't know if it's an apple issue after any of the system updates or if it's a bug on Live5.0.2!!???

if someone know something please let me know!!

Thanks guys!

G.

also syncing a mac (os 10.4.3) with a pc (winxp) isn't a problem.

Well, thanks guys... I think we've been using a diff. cable last time... gonna try everything again... I don't think it was a mistake... we've been using MIDI network on Tiger, session 1, bla bla bla, both laps recognizing each other... well... tell you back when i try that possible problem... a wire... thanks anyway :D

and john, off course you can still use your 410, but I don't know for sure if both firewire ports can both be used for connection a different laptop...

Hi guys,

I'm a bit thick... I'll be using two mac's running Tiger soon, and I've figured out the syncing you describe here, I guess with an ethernet cable, but then what? How does Live sync the bpm of the two computers? All I want is to have a jam with my mate and making sure we're in time!
