No midi mapping with non-Ableton AUs & VSTs?

Hi All

Newbie here - I read somewhere that Live 5 (OSX) and Pluggos can't do midi mapping / automation. Anybody know the status of this disappointing situation? And I noticed that the Apple AU plugins don't use midi mapping, and several other VST and AU's don't do Midi mapping either. Just the ones that come with Live. What's with that? Am I missing something?

Well, sorry to waste anyone's time... it always happens to me. i post some "duh" question publically, immediately go back to Live and figure it out on the spot. They -do- work with midi mapping. I just needed to open the controls to see the boxes to check...
