clip padding

I wish there were a way to pad clips with a bar (or two or three...) of silence so I could have a one bar clip on two bar loop. So a crash clip with a one bar pad at the end ,for example, would only sound on every other bar. And/or a fill with a one bar pad at the beginning, for example, would only sound on even numbered bars. ...make sense?

Thanks. Yes, I started that thread. I was thinking more along the lines of an option in the clip parameters window.
