hi chaps,

i'm trying out a demo of live...

the first thing that struck me is the lack of fast forward and reverse buttons along side the play and stop buttons ???

i can't seem to find a way of performing this control via my laptop, would like to configure live so '>' does ff and '<' reverse

can anyone help ? otherwise live looks great and i will probably buy and use over logic anyday. or maybe this function is only available on the full version ???

(demo-ing on both XP and OSX at the moment)

any feedback is much appreciated

You have to warp them first. After that it easy to scroll. After that you can listen further up

There is ff and rew if you use a mackie or behringer bcf controller.

Instead, drop markers into your arrangement, go into keyboard mapping mode (CTRL-M) and assign 2 keys to the "next marker" and 'previous marker" arrows (top right of arrange window).

I came from Logic too, never used the markers, really messy. The new markers in Live 5 are fantastic.

And...I just noticed that after you create markers you can then assign keys to them! I have to read the manual again there are still things I don't know!
