Bizzare!

Post by psychonaut » Sat Nov 19, 2005 12:15 am

Very strange live behavior

I'm writing a 95 bpm 17 track song in live. For no apparent reason, that i can think of, out of nowhere, the last 10 tracks all "Drift" out of tempo.

First 7 tracks fine, last 10 tracks all drift out of tempo noticeably after the first 4 bars. As if they all got warped to 93 bpm.

None of the tracks in the song are warped, they all were recorded at 95bpm. One second, everything is fine, next second, the last 10 tracks have a new bpm.

I'm totally at a loss as to how this could happen.
Did live crap out?
I'm running a 15inch powerbook 256 mb 60 gig 10.2.8.
Did my under powered little machine do the foul deed?

Looks like i will have to manually warp the out of sync tracks, unless anyone can think of something different. 8O 8O 8O 8O

.

my experience is to set warp active anyway. For sure doubleclick (=warp) the last point before loop (or clip end) so that the wohle track is really warped even if it doesn't need warping because it's the original tempo.

If this is not the solution you detected a heavy bug!

have you exportet waves from fruity loops??
because i had some troubles with waves from fruity.
they are always a bit too long, so i had to set the loop end manually...

when exporting loops in fruity loops make sure you check 'wrap remainder' or 'cut remainder' or any reverb etc.. will be added onto your wav
