Hello Live users,
This is related to Live 2.1.1 and Digital Performer 3.11 and 4.01 ReWire connectivity.
The problem for most users I believe is the Aux track in DP. These instructions are relevant for DP 3.11 and DP 4.01. The Aux Track allows you to monitor the ReWire inputs without problems. You may get thing to work without an Aux Track, but you will most likely encounter very strange behavior and crashing.
1. Open DP.
2. Create an Aux Track in DP
3. Choose Live as the Input on the Aux Track
4. Open Live
The order in which you perform these steps is the key.
I have tested ReWire with DP 3.11 and DP 4.01 and had success using these steps.
If it does not work, please quit Live and DP, and try it again.
If problems persist, please contact support with a detailed description of the problem.

I'm using DP3.1.1 w/Live 2.1.1 and have not been able to get Live to act as ReWire Slave
I set up an aux and enable Live as input as per instructions...when I launch Live I get the message : "Live has detected another ReWire master application. No ReWire slave applications will be available for use Live unless you quit the current ReWire master application and restart Live." when Live opens no ReWire busses are available only the hardware I/O ...Live does not respond to to tempo/transport functions from master app
Still waiting on an answer from tech support...but I had this same problem with 2.0 and it went away with 2.03 update if I remember correctly. Dreamin of making music again with this fantastic product! - Oh by the way I can run Reason 2.5 with NO problem
