Mac Error Code -50 when deleting temporary files
Mac Error Code -50 when deleting temporary files
When I want to delete temporary files after recording, I get Mac error code -50 and nothing happens. The same thing if I want to delete files in the file browser.
Hello,
I haven´t heard of that but i´d recommend to do the standard mac recovery/refresh procedure (i assume you´re on OS 9):
- run "first aid"
- delete the Parameter ram while booting your Mac (alt+apple+r+p)
- rebuild your desktop (apple+alt)
- increase the memory allocation for Live
If this doesn´t help, use sth like "Diskwarrior" etc. to check your mac!
Best,
Ch Kleine

I have done it all, "first aid" found no errors, but nothing changes, again error -50.
My system: Powerbook G3 400 Mhz, Mac OS 9.2.2, Live 2.1.1
When I create a new live document with the name "unbenannt", live saves the recorded files int the folder "temp". In this case the unused recorded files are deleted (when I klick 0.k.) when I close the document.
When I create a new live document with the name "unbenannt", save the document with another name and start then recording, I cannot delete the unused files.

Same -50 error with deleting temporary files here!!!!
Hi,
I seem to have had this problem ever since I've owned Live (2.0)and have just dealt with it but now that I'm composing so much more I can't afford to keep having my HD space gobbled by unnec. files.
I take very good care of my computers - run Techtool Pro regularly, rebuild desktop, defrag, zap PRAM etc. STILL doesn't help.
EVERYTIME I close a Live set and opt to delete temporary files, I get this arghy error.
Does anyone have any new suggestions?
TIA,
Elizabeth
