I've not bought Scratch Live yet, but I will. Or maybe Final Scratch...not sure yet
I was just wondering, as I love Live 5 for the of of use of dropping samples, loops etc when dj'ing with it, but at the same time I miss mixing with vinyl, cds and working a mixer. So can it be linked with scratch live so that are at the same bpm.
Kind of like, the bpm that is being read of scratch live controls the bpm in Live 5. That way, I mix at will with my decks and mixer, at the same time use live 5 to layer over samples, loops, riffs etc which I have made myself plusing using the easier way of remixing live with it as well.
Or maybe Stanton Final Scratch, I notice that has midi. Could that b used to sync the bpms?
I've tried using the tap bpm, but I found it to be bloody useless and just dosent stay in sync for long or at all.
Anyone any thoughts?
Cheers!
Elliot
Is it possible to link Scratch Live with Live 5?
Sorry, but I know Final Scratch 1.5 (and 2.0) can''t accept MIDI sync because FS can't identify where a beat is. It's just playing data faster or slower, so how would it know when to "drop the 1?"
Anyways, I can't comment on Serato Scratch, but I would bet my vote in the upcoming Federal election (here in Canada) that Serato Scratch won't do it either.
Best of luck though; hopefully I'm wrong on this.
