bcf2000 fighting faders problem

Live does NOT deal with /send any touch messages, hence the problem.

>Jasefos: granted the 01x has no touchfaders, but like most of the motorfader'd gear, it will correctly send / interpret touch messages. That's the job of the app to stop sending fader updates when it gets a touch on, and to then update the fader on a touch off.

Use flip mode when there's some automation already recorded, that's the only viable solution if you don't want to ruin your motorfaders.

Humpf. That means that the original MCU and even M-Adios's ProjectMix won't work as aspected?

So we'll wait for an update that adresses all of this controller related issues (like bad display output, fader touch and so on)

OK..
So now I know I have to change recorded automation with "flip".
And it's not a "problem" anymore!

i also got a BCF...what or where the heck is that "flip" you guys are talking about?

First: congrats to your new controller!

On the upper right corner are four buttons labled "encoder groups". If you turned up your BCF in "Mackie Control Mode Cubase", press both upper buttons together: this "flips" the encoder and fader assignment: The fader are change to pan and the encoder to trackvolume. If you press "flip" again, the assignement is turned back to pan on encoder and volume to fader.

If you don't know about the Mackie Control Mode, just take a closer look here:

ah ok, thanks!

i know the mackie mode but prefer the standard mode due to quicker on the fly vst parameter assignment. (i still use the mouse 95% of the time anyway).

I had to choose, too.

But i use Live more like a DAW, so the Mackie Mode makes more sense to me. I bought a cheap Evolution X-Session for quick assignments, this seems to me a good combination (a BCF and BCR would be near perfect

)

Yep, next on my wishlist is BCR for tweaking syths & stuff, BCF in cubase mode is soooo nice for mixing.

You'll laugh: my problem is SPACE!
The BCR is only 20€ more than the X-Session. But at the moment, i don't have enough space for all of my stuff...

Well cheaper than in Amsterdam which is why I am probable going to move there next year. That's right! Current plan is to move there with the band after the summer.

You want to move to Berlin? Nice. I don't know many poeple from netherland who live in Berlin (and all of them are surprised that i understand "holländisch"

)
