Post by c010mbeing » Fri Dec 02, 2005 5:59 am

Im having serious issues with my ableton product i think its conflicting with my cpu some how or i have a ill copy. One thing that has happened is a constant message telling me a seriuous problem has occured and i should save my file under a different name but when i try to close the message out by clicking ok it wont even go away...so i cant even save my projsect or even close ableton. It like some sort of freeze. Another issue i have is that one time it gave me a message speaking of some sort of run time issue, i cant remember exactly the termonolgy but that one i could at least close out of. Im using 4 so can someone help me out, is my cpu just a giant bug.
Im running a pc(asus motherboard, 1 gig of ram, 3.o processor). This started happening about a month into using it.

do a search for "trash preferences file" and try trashing the preferences file.

search these forums here on this website for "trash AND preferences" for info on how to throw away your preferences file and have Live make you a new one when you start it back up. Also, sketchy vsts can cause your problem--you could try setting the live vst folder to some folder with no vsts to see if that makes your problem go away, then start bringing your vsts back in a few a a time to try and pinpoint a culprit.
