I am appalled
This is supposed do be an intellectually stimulating forum in the pursuit to advance our scientific knowledge into a greater understanding of the tools that lay before us. My Question is? What are you gaining? Are you making advances in humanity? Are you making advances in art? Are you making advances in science or business? What is it that you people do here?

Well, other than randomly discuss politics and flame each other for no good reason, there's occaisionally talk about making music.
I think the better question is, what are you accomplishing on this forum, mushroomhead? So far I've just seen you post in junk threads and start this one, too. If you want to contribute to a better signal::noise ratio, be part of the signal and not the noise!

I like it here. I come here for the few 'not in the manual' tricks or the fact that people use this thing in different ways. I've been cutting up audio books and using 'Any' follow actions to make new stories. This place is a kind of a 'Why didn't my teacher tell me it was ok to paint with the handle of my brush' sort of thing. The Manual stops at the last page. I can't get enough 'Have you tried this' posts, even if I have tried that.
Putting down your tools to discuss art can be very productive.

This may be the most intelligent statement I've ever seen here.jerry123 wrote:I like it here. I also like the General section for small talk such as this.
I am all of a sudden interested in the idea of hot shot posters. Producing posts that shoot right to the top of the forum and stay there for weeks. I consider those to be "Number 1" posts, only to be chart topped by the next topic poster who can make a catchy 'hook' out of their sylables.
