canged from mac to pc
hello
i sold my mac pb g4 867/15,2"/1GB a few days ago and buy the new toshiba satellite p20 s303 with desktop p4 and 17" display.
i change the internal hd with another 60GB with 7200UPM
and expand the memory to 1GB.
my external gear is still the same(soundcard, midi controller...), but 1 is better now - there is no need for a firewire drive!
I love my mac(got an desktop also) and i loved my ti-book
but this new toshiba is made for live!!! and it´s not expensive as a mac.
the internal speakers sounds very fat
u get it for about 1700€ (witzhout my selfdone upgrades)

preach it brother man!!!! I absolutely love my toshiba satelite 2430 with xp pro, 2.4 P4, gig RAM, external 120 gig 7,200 RPM, 8 MB cache, 8.9 ms seek time firewire hardrive (still a bit of a performance advantage with programs on internal drive, and audio folder on another, though one of those new internal 7,200's would be nice). Check out www.blackviper.com for all kinds of great tips at getting rid of all kinds of ms crap and streamlining for audio--also running in windows classic mode helps out too. Glad to hear of a mac user that uses Live and realizes/embraces the fact that live is considerably faster on pc. With a decent pc and a little bit of trimming of ms fat, an xp system can totally rock the party.
