how to boost cue

Post by dj helixx » Wed Dec 07, 2005 9:02 am

hi does anybody know how to boost the cue output into the headphones i can hardly hear it in the studio let alone on stage. i am using a delta 1010 sound card in the studio and a emu 1616m with my laptop. the cue is turned right up in live and both of the sound card levels are at max pls help i cant apply anything like compression or a limiter as cue lies within the master section anything applied effects the whole project. come on djs theres enough of you out there using live how do you get round this problem

Had the same problem like you. I just bought a small
headphone amp. This allows you also to connect more headphones. I use a behringer POWERPLAY PRO-XL HA4700. It has 4 "channels" with 3 plugs, hi- and low-eq and separate line levels and aux-returns. allows up to 12 headphones. Pretty "loud" and cheap: about 100€.

Samson has also a small one for 50€ wich allows 4 headphones to connect.
