Hey I hope someone can help me here as I am very frustrated.
I use Ableton Live 5 and various VSTi instruments. I recently got Native Instruments Battery 2 Sampler. It seems quite good, but I have a problem.
you can load many samples into Battery. For sach sample cell, it gives you different parameters to tweak for each. One of them is the channel out for that sample. Im assuming that this is so that you can program a different sample to go through each channel someone can EQ or compress or whatever seperately from the other samples loaded into the sampler.
I cannot figure out how to get a sample to come through a channel other then 1/2 and get the sound to come through Ableton. I have tried to change the "MIDI from" Channel in Ableton, but with no luck.
I can't figure it out and I have gone through manuals and such. It doesn't make sense for it to only be able to have the sound through one channel as it is a very large and CPU intensive sampler and it wouldn't make sense to have to load up more then one.
Any ideas??? please help before my head explodes
Ableton Live 5.0 and NI Battery question regarding MIDI in
hi
i have been using battery a while now . If you look in the bottom right hand corner you will see the word channel under that you can asign cells to diffrent outputs
as far as ableton goes if you insert as many midi tracks as you like you can hook them up to the one vst through the routing options. just like when using impluse

For each Battery slot, there is a dual channel setting in the right down corner.
In Live, you may set up audio tracks that takes audio in from a midi track holding Battery but specified as "Bat. 3/4 Batery VST" etc.
