If I have more than one clip in any of the tracks, when I press the play button they all play at the same time. How do I play them one at a time and turn each one on and off independently?

you can set the triggering to toggle, and play each one by pressing on the clip, not scene play button.

Clearification

In the session view there is the matrix. Each 'cell' can have a clip. Each clip has a play button.
Every column (vertical) is a track. On each track only one clip can be played at a time. But several tracks can play one clip at a time.
Far right you have another set of play buttons. these are for the scenes. A scene is a horizontal set of clips. You set up the clips on each track to be played together. So you have one scene for intro, verse, chorus etc.
This makes it so easy to play Live live. ... "Ok we take the choros one more time" - just play that scene again.

Hope this helps - tried to be extremely basic.
