using the internal mic for recording clips

Hi,
I'm using live with Core audio driver. I've set internal device as audio input and I expected to see the mic recordin the clip... but nothing happened. Are there particular settings to make the mic work?

go to system preferences> sound> input, and make sure internal microphone is selected
