beta 5.03 6 / reason 3
beta 5.03 6 / reason 3
No matter what track delays i set, or how much latency compensation i set
reason is always always always around 9-10 miliseconds late when recording
the incoming audio into clips for looping.
This is the work flow.
live has a midi track which is sending midi to a reason instrument
live has an audio track which is recieving audio from the reason instrument
everything sounds fine.
as soon as i arm a clip and record the incoming data everything is delayed.
i cannot get rid of this delay. I have done the compensation setup from
the manual.. in fact i tested it by setting it to very unrealistic numbers and
it made no effect on the incoming reason audio..
this basically means i cannot accurately create loops from reason.
i am running this on a g4 powerbook 1.5ghz 1gb ram with the built
in sound card, my buffers are 512, and the latency setup gave me a number
of 10ms (which works forever other incoming audio, like my guitar)
tried with delay compensation on and off, to no effect.
thanks.

hmm.
well I will see if it's user error, I am sure I am doing it right.
Having to go back and realign 50+ loops is a pain though.
Applied the 3.04 updated to Reason yet?
(highly recommended)
Any improvement now ?

It makes depressing reading.

yah i even tried some huge huge negative delays to just make sure theyMachinate wrote:gomi, does this mean that even if you set the midi track that goes to reason at -10ms, then you still get delayed sound when playing back the recorded audio?
were doing anything, they weren't.
must be something to do with rewire and not midi persay.
the weird part is it sounds in time when in playback.. midi>reason>audioback
into live.
it's only when i record that incoming audio it's delayed, by 10ms, no matter
much much latency compensation i do.
this is with beta 6.
5.02 reason would not stay in time, thankfully that seems to be repaired.
