Something of a new Live user, though I've used Logic, etc, for quite some time. Mostly do video, audio for video, and composition for video, though my recent (re)introduction to Live is for use in theatre to do sound effeects (and maybe eventually MIDI-triggered other stuff, too).

For those that are late comers to this threadD K wrote:so...
if i was to schedule an evening at a dc club for a get-together, who would come?
i have a tentative possibility for the black cat on 14thstreet, for sunday, january 29th.
i figure i'd find out who wants to play, and divide up set times accordingly.
it would have to be as simple a set-up as possible, stereo out only for each performer, maybe a jam session at the end(i'd have to supply a mixer for that).
more of a meet and greet/ performance than workshop, although if anyone wanted to do a demo of an technique, that would be cool.
p.m. me your contact if interested.
thanks!

BUMP!!
greetings
so, i have confirmed a night at
The Black Cat, 1811 14th st. Washington, DC,
for sunday, january 29th, in the small stage room.
http://www.blackcatdc.com/
i've gotten quite a bit of interest from folks,
there's still some slots left.
and if you would like to perform,
here's the run down:
there can be up to 9 performers total,
15-20 minutes each(more if less than 9)
for a total of 2&1/2-3 hours music
while one plays, another sets up..
the entire night should be seamless...
no more than 2 inputs to the pa each, it's best to keep things as simple as possible
each performer gets one guest, supporters pay 5 bucks at the door
money goes do a decent poster and promo/flyers.
what's left gets split evenly(after the club cut)
i wish it could be free for everyone, but i couldn't find a venue/space with a sound system/bar(and veggie friendly cafe') for free.
i'd prefer folks who create their own music, but the only rule is that you use ableton live.
please pm me if you're interested.
thanks!
