Kontakt 2 and Ableton Live 5 error

I just got Kontakt 2. When I loaded the CD version, the program worked as stand-alone but I had an error message print out (previously reported on this forum). Then I loaded the 2.01 upgrade. The VST then worked just fine. It did not work again when I upgraded to 2.02.
I did this a couple of times to make sure.
2.02 version does not work with Live 5. The 2.01 version does.
For now, I'm just going to work with Kontakt 2.01 and hope that future updates work just fine.
Anybody else have this problem?
BTW. I have a PC Win XP with sp2. I'm using Live 5.02

Hi there,

Kontakt 2.0.2 isn't working for me with Live 5.0.2 . I just bought Kontakt 2 a few days ago and immediatly applied the updated to 2.0.2 . I was only able to start Live when i dropped two dlls (out8.dll and out16.dll) from VST-Directory of Kontakt 2 . But that didn't really help. I am able to load Kontakt in a Live-Set,but if i try to close the Live-Set, Live crashes and is only startable again after a Reboot. I removed Kontakt an made a Support Call at Native Instruments and Ableton and i wait for a solution. Until i used Kontakt , Live 5.0.2 worked fine with all my Plug Ins: no crashes etc. So i prefer to work with a stable Live an wait for Feedback by Ableton / Native Instruments. I will follow your way and try 2.0.1.

So : you are not really alone

And here I just applied the 2.02 update... I guess I should give this a try on my PC and see if it blows up for me too...

I have yet to try to save a Live set with Kontakt as a VST, so I'm not sure if 2.01 works totally within 5.02. I can't even open Live 5.02 with 2.02 installed as a VST within my VST folder. I'll check later and post.
Please post on anything you find.

yes and now i have installed the final update 5.0.3. , but that does not help.
Meanwhile i figured out how to reproduce the crash exactly:

1) start Live 5.0.2 or 5.0.3
2) Drop Kontatk2.0.2 in a Channel to build a Miditrack
3) and now : just deleting Kontakt as VST from the Miditrack crashes Live and i have to fully restart my Computer to use Live again

@feyshay: with the Update 2.0.2 there came two new dll-files in the VST-folder:
Kontakt2_out8.dll
Kontakt2_out16.dll
For me Live was crashing at Starup when scanning these dlls. I removed them from the VST-Directory and Live started.

The Support of NI told me,that these dlls not really needed in my case.
The Support of NI seems not be very experienced:
1. They first said,Live 5.0.2 is so new and we have only Problems with it" -> my call was made on tuesday
2. They said: sure,the must be a Problem of Kontakt2,if the out.dlls crash Live at startup
3. They said: you have a cheap soundcard or maybe you have a virus,trojan etc.
My Soundcard is an ESI ESP 1010 an my System is a dedicated Soundmachine with not much on it but Windows XP . I am waiting for further feedback, since i gave them the facts again:
Live was working fine with all VSTs (Xhraze,Hypersonic 2,UAD etc.) and now it is crashing by deleting the VST-Kontakt2 in a Session or closing a Session.
Sure,for me it can be a Problem with Live or Kontakt or both. So i want them to work on it and not to tell me "you have a virus" (that was stated by NI, i know ableton would never say something like that and i am happy about their support)
