"Favourite plugins" folder needed
"Favourite plugins" folder needed
I have alot of plugins installed, and I had an idea:
Instead of scrolling back and forth every time to find your desired plugin, how about the ability to drag them into a "vst favourites" folder - it could have a dedicated button just like the ones for plugin / live devices browser - so ifinding stuff would be easier.
I'd love to have this in Live, what do you guys think?
Cheers
Shane

yes, easiest way is to make a directory structure under your "VST custom" folder and categorize your VSTs and FX however you like.

Sorry there's a misunderstaning here, I probably couldn't make my point clearly:
I was thinking about a way (like Live Clips do with wavs) to make some kind of 'aliases' of the plugins, so no need for reinstalling, copying or whatever method to get them in there. just drag them into the browser. If my memory serves me well Sound Forge has a feature like this. When you use it, no need for scrolling down huge menus of installed plugins to get to Waves Ultramaximizer...

why not just use live clips... make a folder called favorite plugins and save a live clip with no midi note data. just a blank midi clip with the plugin in it. name the clip with the name of your plug and you're set...
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.
