Hello, my name is Omid, i bought Live Version 5 and M-Audio's Ozone. I have a big concert this weekend i really need your help. I have done everything right (i think) but i'm having this big problem. I have 52 audio samples that i loaded up into Live. The M-Audio Ozone has 25 keys but an option to go up 3 octaves, so you can assign more sounds. once i assign the first 25 keys to the Ozone, i go up the octave and assing the next 25. i see that Live has recognized the new octave. but when i go to the previous octave, some of the sounds are wrong or have dissapeared! This is a serious issue, i have a big concert and i need this resolved. Is it a defect in the Ozone or some small setting that i don't have dialed in right on Live, i need to know, i would really appreciate your help as soon as possible (i don't have much time!). i bought Live strictly for the fact that i was told it was the best program for this kind of situation,

Hi omid,
The Ozone has an amount of 9 octaves (d4 to U4 in the Octave display).
So 9 times 12 (tones per octave) should give you 108 different notes, so this should normally work.
But the keyboard of the Ozone is 25 keys so 2 octaves + 1 from another octave. So you should be careful that you do not overwrite an assignment by mistake.
So the best way for you is the "MIDI learn" always one octave on the MIDI keyboard and then to set it up/down by one octave and so on...
If you "MIDI learn" all 25 keys and switch up/down only by once octave you overwrite some of your previous assignments again.

right now, i hit the midi buttton on Live, then i hit the key on the ozone that i want that sample assigned to and i do this for the first 25 sounds. then i go up an octave on the ozone and i do this again for the next 25. what is "midi learn?" is that the same thing? are you suggesting going up 2 octaves to avoid problems? i really appreciate your help, please specify the steps i need to take (sorry, i'm knew to this program and my show is this weekend),

Assuming you have set the Ozone to the lowest possible octave (d 4 in the Ozone display). The the keyboard has a note range of C-2 until C0.
You can learn these 25 notes. So far so good.
But if you now go up for only 1 octave the keyboard has the note range of C-1 to C1. So if you learn these notes you overwrite some of the previous notes again (notes between C-1 to C0).
