Yamaha 01X mono playback

Post by DividedByDirt » Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:56 am

Hi,
I've just recently bought the above mixer to use in tandem with Live and after an age of trying to get sound out of it thanks to the cryptic manual, all I can get is a mono signal!
I haven't even bothered using it with Live yet as I don't want to complicate matters.

Has anybody else had this problem or may know where the issue lies?

The mixer itself sounds fantastic in mono, I just want a decent stereo signal!

Many thanks.
Jake.

Hi Jake,

Can you press shift Name/Value on the 01X for me twice so that you see the global meter and tell me if the st-L and st-R signals both move.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy,

yeah they do, but in tandem with each other. There's no difference in the signal on either side which automatically tells me the signal's mono apart from just listening.

Is there anything else I should try?

Cheers bud,
Jake.

Have you panned out the mLan channels coming from your computr.?

Press the button named 9-16, press the PAN button. Then twist knob 1 to max left and knob 2 to max right.

Interceptor,
thanks mate you've just solved my problem. The only thing I got to do now is work out how to save these settings....

Once again, cheers.

You can save the settings in a scene.

Just press the scene button. Then the knob corresponding to store.
Afterwards you can change the name of the scene by pressing knob nr. 1 and use the other knobs to enter letters.

Good luck...

Thanks a lot Interceptor. The manual is as good as useless!

better than a scene, save it as startup default.
SHIFT+UTILITY (BACK UP)
