After updating to OS 10.4.3, when I launch Live 5 my System Preferences Sound changes, the Audio Input switches to the Internal Mic. This is on a 1.5 GHZ Aluminum Powerbook.
anyone else see this issue before??
thanks!

Hi crawford, hi tyson,
could you please explain this a bit more?
Normally you have set your system default input to the internal Line-In but as soon as you open Live, it switches to the internal microphone?
tyson,
which Mac hardware and OS X version do you use?
regards,
/Alex

Hey everyone, I think mine was due to the recent security update that I installed. I think it reset the input or something. Everything seems to be fine here now, after I set it back, it's staying back. I'll post if it happens again. Maybe Crawford and I experienced the same thing at the same time.
(my setup is the same as his)
Thanks Alex for the interest!

This issue seems to have corrected itself, and I too had recently done the latest OS X Security Update.
Thanks guys!

Alex, to answer your question, I was updating between 10.4.2 and 10.4.3, and at the time was just using the Built in Audio Controller...
thanks

I thought it was over, but it's doing it again. It seems like it does it after the Powerbook has been shut down or has been restarted...

Hi crawford,
did you find any pattern how to reproduce it?

Yep, I can reproduce the issue by a Restart of the Powerbook, launch Live 5.03, open System Preferences, and it's always defaulting for the Input to be the Internal Microphone. Every time now.

I'm on live 5.0.1
I changed my inputs to soundflower both in live and in the system prefs, restarted, and both were still on soundflower when I returned.
I am willing to try again in a different way if anyone has any requests.

well, i'm now noticing that my Powerbook running 10.4.4, sets itself to the Internal Microphone after a Restart, (did it in 10.4.3 too)
So, it doesn't seem to be Live that is causing this issue, it's Apple's OS.
