I've used Echo's offerings on both PC & Mac.

The way I best describe Echo's stuff is... once you use it, you forget that you have it. It just sits there and does its job (quite well) and doesn't get in the way of you making music.

Just bought a MiaMIDI for my PC. I replaced an old Delta 1010, and I can already tell that the sound is at least as clean if not cleaner. Latency is really good. On Live, I can easily get 5-7ms and it doesn't choke until you get to around 70-80% CPU. I'm also testing Forte (because I want to use my PC as a virtual rack) and I can max the CPU to 90-100% at 1ms latency on the MiaMIDI with minor crackles, and it can sit at around 80-90% easily. That's really nice :)

I've sold a ton of Ginas + all of Echo's products, and I've never heard a single complaint back from a customer about them.

The only thing I would investigate is that if there are any issues concerning PCI-X versus the latest incarnation of the G5 which is the PCI-E (I think).

I checked Echo's website but the specs on the Gina didn't specify any specific PCI compatability issues, but it wouldn't hurt to do a little sniffing around first.

The Gina is one of the best deals out there. I miss PCI. I used to use a Delta 10/10 and I never even had to think about latency issues.
