Can't get rid of delays!!!

Post by KX » Tue Jan 03, 2006 3:36 pm

Hi, everyone. I need some help!
When I use my internal sound-card and monitor or record audio through internal mic (notebook) the sound always delays.
The same problem appeared when i connected my guitar through external sound card (Creative Sound Blaster Extigy).
And one more question:
My Live 5.0.1 doesn't detect second audio output for pre-listening, actualy I don't see any Routing Menu in Audio Interface for choosing the output to pre-listen. Can I use my 5.1 sound-card (mentioned above) for pre-listening as I do in NI Traktor?
Thanx!!!

read the manual on how to configure your latency settings.

And for your second question. Look for "cue" in the manual.

Thanks, I'll check the manual once again, but I don't remember it to mention something about using 5.1 audio interface as 2 separate outputs for prelistening and master. Traktor works well with it.

it all comes down to how many outputs you have.
If you have more then 1 stereo output... Then it should work.

Check in the master track, which outputs you can send to.
While you're doing that. You're also figuring out how to send audio to another output.

And as for your latency settings.... There is a lesson about that in Live 5.
