There were a few recent sidechaining threads, so do a search. To summarize, I have found 3 plugs that successfully sidechain in Live:

1. TC Native plugs (no longer supported or sold) has a built-in side chainer that shoots audio from one track into another, but it is built-into the plugs.

2. Voxengo's Crunchessor can sidechain.

3. Kjaerhus has a Trackplug and a Single Compressor that both sidechain. Note, their older Golden Compressor does not sidechain.

With #2 and #3, basically you have to set up two tracks in Live. Track 1 has the sidechain feed, which in your case is the kick. In Track 2, you will put whatever clip you want ducked and insert the side-chaining compressor in that track. Then you can output Track 1 into Track 2 and the sidechainer will be an option in the output submenu. When you do this, you will no longer hear Track 1 in your mix. To hear it, create another track, and make the input of that track as Track 1. Then set the monitoring on.

Hope this helps.

And there is a video tutorial on how to setup the sidechain in Live. Couldn't get any easier! Scroll towards the bottom of the page for the video.

Quick side note...I just watched the two videos for how to sidechain using Compadre in Live and in SX. And it dawned on me how much simpler and easier Live is to use and be productive in. Just watch the videos and tell me that workflow isn't one of the biggest advantages in Live :)
