Can't open sets directly (w/double click) in 5.0.3

Post by icedsushi » Fri Jan 06, 2006 2:41 am

Ever since I've been using 5.0.3, when I double click on a live set, I get:

"An unexpected error occurred (error code -10660)"

I can only open sets with file>open once Live is already launched.

Is anyone else on Mac getting this? I emailed Abes last week, but no response. Usually they're pretty good about replying, maybe my email was lost in the shuffle...

Hi icedsushi,

this is an error message from OS X finder. Maybe there is a problem with the association of .als files with Live.
Could you try to Re-associate .als files with Live 5.0.3 via 'Get Info' and 'Open with' tab?

regards,
/Alex

Thanks a million.

Yep, that's what it was. Default application was 5.0.3b5 which was sitting in the trash.

Actually the finder couldn't change the default app from 5.0.3b5 to 5.0.3. I guess the finder can't make a distinction between a beta or not of the same version. It kept flipping back to the same Live icon with no version# when I would try to change it.

So a simple empty of the trash was all it needed to clear everything up. That was the only way to fix it. :)
