Not really ableton related but can anyone tell me about the power supply on american sold nord synths.
They are a lot cheaper there and I'm coming over for a visit soon.
Are they 110 volt models? Or do they use an external psu/stepdown convertor or internal.
Anyone from the U.S?Nord Lead 2x
Re: Anyone from the U.S?Nord Lead 2x
The modern nord synths, Lead 2X, Lead 3, G2 have a switch inside the box on the powersupply to flip voltage, and you'll need to change the fuse (although I think you're okay with the old one going 110-220V).lerky wrote:Not really ableton related but can anyone tell me about the power supply on american sold nord synths.

Older synths such as the Lead 2 etc require you to desolder, move, and resolder some wire jumpers on the power supply board to achieve the same effect. Step down transformers are possibly less trouble.
If you email Clavia tech support, they'll send you a PDF listing all this and the models with switches, and which fuses you need for which devices.
