Midi in sync

Post by tronso » Wed Jan 23, 2002 8:25 am

hi.
I've been playing around with the demo, and as many others here, I'm quite impressed with this program.
However, I'm having some problems syncing live with other equipment, eg. hardware sequncers like Rm1x and mc 505. Has anyone come across a solution, or maybe this is fixed in the 1.1 version?
As i've not had any problems syncing my hardware with other software, I assume this is a problem with LIVE.

Please help as this is the only reason I haven't bought it yet, and I have a gig coming up where I'd love to use LIVE, but I need SYNC.

Thanks

Praveen

i confirm that problem. think its gotta do with the hardware controller's internal settings

I slave live along with a bunch of other hardware. Im running it on an ibook 600 using just the built in sound. I found this to be one of the things so remarkable about live. After setting it to follow, and adjusting the latency compensations I get almost perfect sync. It takes live about 6 or 8 bars to catch up, but when it does it stays on just fine. I havent had as much luck with my 1ghz amd machine though.
Good luck

MIDI sync

Hi,
my master is an ATARI 1040 STFM with CREATOR SL as Sequenzing software.
It sends an impressing continous and steady MIDI sync signal. I also tried an MC303 as master and LIVE itself (running on an Inspiron 8000), but nothing compares to the ATARI.
You really should buy one, even if it looks prehistoric. I use it since years and second hand they´re quiet cheap.

stay grooving
