Who has the simplest setup? You gear freaks... ;o)

Discuss music production with Ableton Live.

Anyone stopped buying advert-laden music magazines so that they can concentrate on making music with the gear they have already got?

Hey I like these kind of thread

I try to be as minimal as possible and get the biggest sound

a computer
ableton Live 5
an Mbox connected to 2 monitors
2 turntables, a mixer and some records

plugs I actually use:

Oddity
Albino
MicroTonic
most if not all ableton plugs

and

Wavearts Track Plug (on everything I think)

plus Reaktor 5

no keyboards, I do have a trigger finger
no drum machines

I use only one sample CD - Steve Stolls techno one - but that thing is dope

anywayz

My bandmate got a the Nano Kontrol one. Unfortunately there is no native mode documented yet (like on PadKontrol). But he's trying to find out how the software coupled with the thing is controlling some aspects (like turning on lighted buttons). I like the idea of having 2x8 lighted buttons customizeable. :)

I like to keep it simple, baby.
Most of my stuff is written with my computer, drum samples, Automat, and the Nord. Lately, I've come to realize how amazing Automat can be if you stack three or four of 'em in an instrument rack.

edit: holy shit this thread is like 4 years old

All I really need is my MacBook Pro, the Duet, one condenser mic, one dynamic mic, my guitars, and oxygen 8 controller. My Novation Supernova and the Virus C are just gravy.
