7200 RPM SATA drives are wicked though.
they're optional extras, i think.

I also think the aluminum MacBook is going to wind up like the "tan" G3s, just a brief stop on the way to new form factors & product identities. Really though, I'm surprised Apple didn't step correct with new styles from the outset.
I hope honest to God that that name goes and rather today than tomorrow. It's clunky and dumb.

Hopefully we'll see new designs soon, too. Though if they can fuck up the name like that, who knows what they'll do...
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

A rose is a rose. I couldn't care less what Apple wants to call 'em.
The User base (including me) will be calling them Powerbooks for a long time.

Apple could call them iTurds, TurdBooks, Pissmos, PottyBooks or whatever and they would still be nice.

Who REALLY gives a crap? That's all I'm sayin'.

I'm just really glad they didn't shitcan the FW 400... but really bummed about my Echo Card. RIP

:D
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Well..................................................

My wife is getting ready to go back to school. She's been using our dated G3 iMAC for her limited computing needs. Recently she's been itching for a new machine so we discussed it and she decided to get a laptop, an ibook.

We will be making this purchase sometime in the near future.

So, I think you can all see where I am going with this. My evil scheme is that my wife will get my powerbook and I will be getting a new blickie..............

it'll be about twice as fast when it runs natively on intel. when they make it multithreaded it will be faster still, but not 4 times faster.
