hello all,
when i load in a fairly big set, my samples often seem load incorrectly..
somehow clips sometimes sound like they are just raw data or something, i cant really describe it...for example; a clip starts to play and everything is fine, but suddenly halfway it sounds scrambled or it loops a small portion of the sample- or it sounds just totally weird.. at first i thought it was the cpu acting up, but it's actually in the sample itself and everytime i load the set its completely different- sometimes they all load fine, sometimes only a couple of them are scrambled, sometimes its just a big mess...
i cant say whats going on here, could be a ram thing or something...any ideas?
thanks,
jay
scrambled clips problem..
quick guess: sounds almost like your sample rate is changing? ie has nothing to do with any clip in particular but for an instant or two the sample rate in your soundcard is changing
go into the control panel for your soundcard and fix the sample rate (to 44 or 96 or whatever it is you are using). sometimes they have the option to vary the sample rate and maybe something is up with that
