live crashes when i move files around in windows explorer

Live 5 has a tendancy to crash when i start moving files around in windows exploer. the files dont always have to be in the current set, but they all seem to be file that have been in the set during the current session. meaning. i delete a clip from live. open windows explorer, move the file to a new location. live crashes and gives me a runtime error. the audio drive location is an external firewire drive if this could be an issue. never done it before and i dont recall it happening with the first live 5 only the updates. any takers?
