I am currently compiling a five year series of Sound on Sound articles that explain sound synthesis. I just got Reaktor 5 and realising that it is a complicated program I am trying to learn how to use it. I found a post here on these articles and seems like a great way to learn in conjunction with books. What I am doing is saving all the pages with gifs and saving the gifs you get when you click within the page, so it will be like you are online. This way you can reference all the material without being online. Check out the series and let me know what you think.

To Reaktor 5 users and those interested in sound synthesis
By now the Synth Secrets series is not a secret anymore, which is good. There is much to be learned from it.
I don't know about your GIF plan though, as the articles probably won't fit on one screen. It quickly becomes a hassle. Why don't you just save the pages from your web browser? With most browsers that should result in a complete local copy of the page.

I am saving the pages but I want all the larger images that appear when you click the figures. Just a personal project so I can access it if I want to study it all somewhere there is no online access. I am very interested in studying this as I feel it is the key to finding a personal music sound. This would truely make my computer an instrument of my own creation. Plus I will feel more confident in knowing all the science behind what I am doing. This will only lead to better music. I have a background in engineering so all this information
is fascinating to me. I feel like I am combining my science and math knowledge with my love for music. It feels great! I have played the guitar for ten years and Dj for 5 years. I feel like I am starting to do something I will enjoy even more than these! Now you know why I am going through the trouble. I have not found any books yet that deal with the material of theSOS articles. Until I do I think this will provide enough education from which to create. With Reaktor it seems that you need a lot more knowledge to use the program fully.
