This event is gaining some serious steam around DC, and I'm hearing about it from quite a few people. Looks like its gonna be a stormer. Can anyone give me an intro about the artists? I'm curious.

I'll be there. Wish I had enough time to prepare material to actually play. Next time I hope. I could probably hunt down a place in Baltimore that would host a free place to play...

for future get togethers, (real open free user groups) i'm checking into a place in md called soma that hosts some amazing avant guard
artists and improvisors. there's also a neat little place called jammin java that has a cool room and excellent sound system..only problem is it's a bit out of the way in va.
but they're cool folks, it's run by young people, and they do all kinds of music.
if the cat goes well, i'll try to do something regular for folks.
cheers

Whats up! I feel weird being the only one with a set title, oh well! Only $5 bucks to get in. Be there or be square :P

Mine is still the same. Utenzil is Mike MC, DARK is DK, and I'm not shure who the others are.

forum users are myself, dj ray, iced sushi, mike mc, corygilbert, slopes, suburbanbather, and eisnein. smutek helped with art, and i had quite a few more responses, but sets went first come first served, no preconceptions.
the evening should be very interesting...
all sets will be run together, with no dead air or brakes...
stage setup will facilitate three artists to work at once, one performing, one breaking down after segue, and another setting up.
should allow for some interesting improv between sets :)
also there is a very talented vj crew doing visuals, and they are listening to everyones music to taylor content to each set.

Is the show going to be recorded? Of course I'm hitting the record button in Live once I start my set, but it would be very cool if the entire evening gets recorded.

i'd love to record it,
i'll be hitting record also, but it would be ideal to record and post some of it to embarass ourselves with.
i'll be posting pics, so dress nice!
